FAQ.
What are the differences between the microblading and ombré brow techniques?
Microblading uses a small handheld tool to implant semi-permanent pigment under the skin/existing brows to create natural, hair-like strokes. This technique is ideal for clients with full brows that just need a little shaping and symmetry. The ombré technique places pigment into the skin using machine, to create a more "filled in" or shaded look that starts with a crisp brow tail that fades into a soft, powdery bulb, resembling a brow pencil. This technique is better for clients with little to no brow hair, or for those who are already using makeup on their brows everyday. Lastly, the combination Brows: Both Microblading + Ombré Powder Brow techniques are used to achieve a perfectly natural, defined brow.

What is normal during the healing process?
Mild swelling, itching, light scabbing, dryness, tightness, color changes.
*As you heal, color will lighten and seemingly disappear in places over the span of 7-10 days. This is part of the skin’s healing process. A touch up appointment is necessary at 6-8 weeks to ensure the color has healed evenly.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime! Whichever area(s) are treated will just need to stay free from makeup, excessive sun/water/sweating for 7 days. Lips will likely be swollen for the first 24 hours and the color will be vibrant. Brows will also look darker the first few days, as the color has not yet settled into the skin. It takes about 2 days for the healing process to begin and color to fully deposit. Most of the superficial healing will be completed within 2 weeks, however a touch-up cannot be done before 6 weeks.
Does it hurt?
Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance. Most clients are relaxed during the procedure and describe the sensation similar to tweezing or waxing. A topical anesthetic is applied before we begin working and then again throughout the procedure. I will make sure you are comfortable throughout the appointment and the results will far outweigh any discomfort you experience!

What exactly is Lip Blushing?
Lip Blush is a beautiful way to enhance your pout by adding natural color to the lip and lip line. It’s meant to make lips appear fuller, correct asymmetry, covering scarring/discoloration, define shape and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Healing time is 7-10 days and it lasts up to 3 years. The color will heal about 40% lighter than your initial appointment. Immediately after, your lips will look very saturated with color; similar to lipstick. Once they’re healed and before any touch up is performed they will look you have a very natural color throughout your lip that looks as good without makeup on as it does with makeup. That being said, your desired look for your lips will determine how many touch ups you need. If you are prone to cold sores, you will need to get a prescription from your doctor before your appointment to ensure that the procedure will not cause an outbreak. The chickenpox/shingles/cold sore virus can lay dormant in your body and become activated by the lip blushing procedure. However, a prescription from your doctor can prevent it if that is something you’re concerned about.
